I was very lucky last week. I happened to check my Feedly just about the same time Just Add Ink added their weekly challenge. It's their 200th challenge! It was lucky for me because they were looking for their 500th "like" on Facebook and their 800th blog follower and sending a little surprise to those readers. I was the 500th "like!" So, I just had to find time to do this challenge. It's a great inspiration photo.
A scene like this would be so welcomed now. I am so tired of the relentless snow and cold! As luck would have it, I needed to make an anniversary card for my husband's brother and his wife, so this was a great jumping off point.
I used the sentiment from Petite Pairs along with Gingham Garden paper and washi tape. I adhered the washi to a strip of paper to make my banner and stamped the washi with Stazon ink. The leaves are wings from the Bird Punch. The flowers and rhinestones are dollar bin finds.
It felt sooo good to make a card after a week off! It's snowing again tonight...maybe no school tomorrow. So, you never know, I may be home bound and making cards again tomorrow!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Show CASE - Chick Card by Janelle
I promised another punch art chick, and although it's getting late for Easter card, I thought I'd better share. You could also make this a baby card, in fact the original was a baby card. This one is a long time in the making.
When free time is in short supply, a card CASE (Copy And Share with Everyone) can be the perfect way to have a little fun!. Show CASE is my personal attempt to have that time for stamping, without of the pressure to create something totally original. I want to pay tribute to the many talented stampers out in the blogosphere that are so inspiring to me. I hope you enjoy seeing my "take" on their creation.
Today's card is by Janelle @ Show and Tell.
I changed the colors from Janelle's original and I added a few more flowers. Please check out Janelle's card. Her husband is keeping her blog up and running. Sadly, Janelle passed away last year with a brain tumor. She was an incredible card maker and a such a positive and friendly lady. I miss her and think of her often.
So, please count your blessings, hug and kiss the ones you love and have a happy Easter!
Hugs,
Shelley

Super Simple Treat Bag
Well, my title may be a bit misleading. The treat bags themselves? Very simple. The punch art chick, not difficult but a little time consuming. I needed 6, so I made them assembly style and it wasn't too bad. I struggled some, getting the wings the right size and each one is probably a slightly different, but I went with it!
Super simple, right? They had to be...I was in a bit of a rush to get them in the mail. The closure isn't anything fancy, but I wanted to make sure the little ones could open them.

Even with the extra work, I just love the punch art chick. I have another punch art chick art to share. This one a little bigger! Stay tuned.

White On White Christmas
I've made it a mission to get my Christmas cards done well before Christmas this year. Last year I did OK. I made around 24 cards before December. I really need double that to have as many as I would like to send. When I saw the challenges on Our Creative Corner and Merry Monday I found a chance to try something new and get some Christmas cards done!
The challenge for Our Creative Corner is "White with a Decorative Edge."
At Merry Monday it's "Create A Christmas Card with Birds."
I've never made an all white card. It was fun. I tried to add as much texture as I thought I could get away with!
Well, this is two posts in one day....I may need to sit down and rest! Hee! Hee!

Fine Flourish - Love Birds
Me again! I have so many cards to share (all Valentines) I fear I won't get them all posted before next week. I really need to step it up! I made this one on Monday night and it immediately became one of my favorites so far this year.
I even managed to complete not one...but TWO challenges! Yippee!

Tuesday will be a busy day, but I still hope to see you with another post!

Big Clip
I didn't plan on posting today. I spent the morning trying to catch up on my mail and promised myself I would play in the afternoon. Although I didn't think I would accomplish anything! I was sure I would sit in my craft room for hours with nothing to show for it. Well, I did have a little help. These clips were on my desk. I had glued the base paper on them about a week ago.
So, it was just a matter of sprucing them up. It was a lot of fun deciding how to embellish them. Which one is your favorite? I have a favorite.
They are mostly Stampin' Up! products, with the exception of the ribbons, a few brads and the sentiment on the blue one (it's PTI.)
These clips came from an auction box lot. I bid because I wanted the basket they were in (an old wire locker room basket) so the clips were a bonus! I have five more I could decorate....and I think I will!

Show CASE - Punch Art by Julie
Hello everyone! I survived the water park. In fact, it was a lot of fun. We got to experience our first water coaster and it was a blast! I'm sure feeling my age, though. After lunch I was so tired! Took a nap under the umbrella and I was done for the rest of the day! The kids had a great time, of course. The bonus for the day was that RAGBRAI (Registers Annual Great Bike Race Across Iowa) was coming through the area and the waterpark parking lot was a stopping point for the riders. This is a BIG deal in Iowa and really across the country. Lance Armstrong rode in it last year??? It's actually something I should add to my "bucket list" because it looks like so much fun!
Until then, how about something a little less labor intensive? How about a Show CASE card?

Today's card came from Julie @ Julie's Stampin' Spot.
My changes:
I had trouble with her rubber band rolled background, so I used DSP.
My fishies are slightly different color.
I used the small heart punch which wasn't available when Julie made hers.
Check out Julie's original card HERE.
See you soon for the Curtain Call!

Show CASE - Punch Art by Connie
My garage sale pricing is not going so well. I did spend one entire day pulling things out of the storage room and marking them, but I'm only about half done. Plus, I still have plans to comb the house. We are getting to crunch time. I need to be done by tomorrow. Thursday my son has baseball games and I need to set up. It will get done, even if I have to stay up late. Right now? I have another card to share with you!

Cupcakes Are Always Good!
I am hanging on to that streak by a thread! I couldn't get anything going in the stamp room today. Oh, I tried, just nothing worked out. I did have a headache for most of the day, so that didn't help.
So, I am sharing ONE MORE older, not posted card. I wanted to make a card with minimal stamping, more punch art. You can't go wrong with cupcakes, right? Everybody loves cupcakes. The sentiment, in fact, is from Crazy For Cupcakes.
I promise to have a really good card to share tomorrow. It's the one "trapped" inside my camera, which my mom has right now. I will see her in the morning and hope to have it posted by the afternoon.
Wednesday my new stuff arrives! If the UPS man comes early (and he usually does) I plan on playing with my goodies right away! Forget that my Christmas tree is STILL up in my loving room! Putting it away can wait one more day!

Keeping the Streak Alive!
Ok, I have a bit of a streak going here. Four days straight of posting cards. I had a card planned for today. The problem is, I left my camera at my grandmother's birthday party. So, I'm going to show a card I did a couple weeks ago and had not posted. No challenge involved! Just me making a card to go with a baby gift.
Isn't it just the cutest idea ever? I never get tired of making this card. The original came from Lauren Meader. She has a great tutorial over at her blog and this link will take you right to it, so check it out.
The lone stamp on this card is from Tart & Tangy. I inked the stamp in Rose Red, then removed the ink from the stem and leaf with a Q-tip. I used my markers to fill those in and stamped. All easy enough!
So, I am hoping to make a new card tomorrow. I have another birthday coming up, a little niece celebrating her second birthday. I want to keep my streak in tact!

Flowerpot Card 4 My Mum!
I know I have been absent most of the summer! It certainly wasn't my plan to take the summer off, but essentially that's what happened! Now that the kids are back in school, I am desperately hoping that I find some time in my craft room!
Today I really had no choice. You see, tomorrow is my mother's birthday. It's milestone birthday, 60 years. So, I had to come up with something good. I gave it my best shot with a flowerpot card. I have never made one and therefore it took FOREVER! I suppose being a little rusty had something to do with it, too. I'm fairly pleased with it. I don't think I've ever completed a card saying I wouldn't change a thing, but this is close. My main gripe, the proportions are a little off and the pull out is a little on the small side. Great if you don't have much to write in the card! Maybe not so great in this case, but I know she will love it, she's my mom, she has too!
Anyway, thanks so much for sticking with me through my absence! I really appreciate all of you! See you soon!
