Show CASE - Punch Art by Connie

My garage sale pricing is not going so well.  I did spend one entire day pulling things out of the storage room and marking them, but I'm only about half done.  Plus, I still have plans to comb the house.  We are getting to crunch time.  I need to be done by tomorrow.  Thursday my son has baseball games and I need to set up.  It will get done, even if I have to stay up late.  Right now?  I have another card to share with you!

When free time is in short supply, a card CASE (Copy And Share with Everyone) can be the perfect way to have a little fun!.  Show CASE is my personal attempt to have that time for stamping, without of the pressure to create something totally original.  I want to pay tribute to the many talented stampers out in the blogosphere that are so inspiring to me.  I hope you enjoy seeing my "take" on their creation.

Today's card is from Connie @ Inkspired Treasures

My changes:
Lovely Lilac, A Non-SU purple, Orchid Opulence, Garden Green, Night of Navy, Confetti White
Season of Friendship

Connie's card is HERE if you'd like to check it out!

Season of Friendship....Think Spring!

Today's card started with this inspiration photo. The Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World. Such beautiful spring colors. How could you not be inspired? I was particularly drawn to the photo in the middle and to the right. It looks like a vintage tray. You may not know, I have another blog, Made or Found, that's is devoted to my love of vintage and my pursuits in home decor. So, I knew this would be the catalyst for my card.I used Season of Friendship with the colors: Sage Shadow, Real Red, So Saffron and Pretty in Pink. Very vintage feel, I think. The 3/4" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon adds to that feel. The button? You guessed it....vintage! What a fun card to make! This will also fit in nicely with the Paper Pal Arts challenge this week, "Spring." This is a challenge I can get riled up for....I am SO ready for Spring!
Plus, since I used the color green, I fulfilled The Pink Elephant challenge! My first time with this one! I've added to my list!I'm hoping to get a few cards made today. Remember, I will be posting my FIRST card for the Curtain Call Crew this Sunday! Please join us! Hope to see you then!

OCC Challenge

This another challenge I have been watching for some time. The ladies over at Our Creative Corner put out a different challenge each week. Sometimes it's sketch, or using a certain element, you just never know. So, I like that.

I wish I could say I am loving my first card for them. This is what happens when you are bound and determined to use up scraps. I had started this card base with Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise and a strip of Pumpkin Pie. I had already inked the bottom half with my Whimsy roller, so that determined the tone of the card. I didn't like any of the images I had with this oval and color scheme, so I went with this sentiment from Happy Harmony. The bright spot, I don't think I've ever made a card with the sentiment as the focal point, so it's something new. The leaves around the oval are from Season of Friendship.

Kristina has posted a new challenge, so I hope to work on that today and have it posted sometime before my head hits the pillow. Until then.....have a great day!

Kristina's Color Inspiration #9

Hi there! I have another card for you today. I really like this card because I love buttons! I have jars of them. I love to collect them, but not necessarily use them. I admit it, I'm just a hoarder. Well in fact, I went to an auction today and I would have bid on a couple of jars of buttons but they were taking too long to get to them. There wasn't enough to bid on in the meantime to justify staying. So, I left, with a couple candy canisters and $8 less in my pocket.

Today's card from Kristina's 9th challenge (on May 9th of last year.) This stamp set, Season of Friendship wasn't even available yet. I am very attentive to detail, sometimes too much so, and let myself use this set despite the fact I didn't own it back then. The sentiment is from Bloomin' Beautiful. Let's face it, the buttons make this card. It is so cheerful and the buttons really catch your eye. I just love it.

I hope you've been enjoying my series of cards for Kristina's challenges. I still have lots of them to do and hope I can keep them coming on a daily basis.

Season of Friendship

Today card is was inspired by a fellow stamper, Michelle, over at Stamp and Smile (click on the highlighted Stamp and Smile to see the card on her blog.) I did use a cuttlebug embossing folder in my Big Shot and puffy paint on the branches, but all the other elements are Stampin' Up! The cardstocks are Whisper White, Bashful Blue and Real Red. I highlight the tops of the embossed snowflakes with a little white craft ink. The other inks are Chocolate Chip and Real Red. I love the simplicity of of this stamp set Season of Friendship. I think it will prove to be very versatile. I also used Warm Words for the sentiment. If you like this set, you need to get it now because it's retiring! What a better time, too. The extra 10% off along with the other great offers Stampin' Up! has right now, don't wait!
