Bells & Boughs with Top Note & Texture

Me again!  I actually finished this card VERY late on Thursday.  I wasn't up for posting at 2:30 AM so off to bed I went.  Friday was filled with another day shopping.  I was so tired (probably from lack of sleep the night before) that a movie and bed was all I could muster last night.  Kind of pathetic.  This is the year I had all my stamps and supplies early and I still managed to not get my cards done!  This is what I came up with during my late night session.

I thought I liked it.  I took the picture.  I'm thinking, "Boy, that bow just doesn't look right."

So, after the picture, I changed it!  Now I'm now sure which one looks best!

As luck would have it, I completed another challenge!

Our Creative Challenge - Dry Embossing with Ink.

Have a great day!

  1. Wish I could come up with something like this when I was that tired. Lovely card with the embossed BG. I am going to get that EF in February and can't wait!! Love the colours you used and the woodgrain is lovely on it. Great cards - like the both :)

  2. Shelley - this is FABULOUS! I just love the effect of the embossing folder on that top note!

Sadly I havent sent out any christmas cards this year. I just didn't have the time and I had to just let some things slide this year!

I wish you and your family a fabulous christmas filled with lots of love and joy (and good food! lol) and I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful creations in 2011!

    Luv Karen

  3. Great choice of colors, Shelley! Love the label die and EF you used. For the record, I like both versions of the bow but I think I'd lean slightly more towards the first version. Hope you can catch up on some sleep!
