Another day, another challenge! Today I decided to try a one I've never participated in before. The inspiration photo is easy enough, flowers, I can do flowers! I wasn't too sure about the color combo, though! It looks tropical to me...I was a little worried!
Once again I started in my scrap file. Guess what? I only cut ONE of these pieces of cardstock! I used everything else EXACTLY as it came out of my scrap file. The exception? The So Saffron circle I cut and embossed it. Otherwise I used the pieces as they were! Kinda fun! Even the image was in my scrap file. It's a piece I was playing with last night. I stamped the foliage from Wonderful You in black Stazon. I went back with my Certainly Celery and Wild Wasabi marker to fill in and shadow my leaves. My last step was to spray the image with Champaign Mist shimmer paint mixed with rubbing alcohol. Not only did it give my cardstock shimmer but it blurred my markers some...just enough. I like it.

This is fabulous, Shelley!! SO glad you got some time to play as we get to reap the rewards!! Love the crocheted flower and how you used the leaf for the stem. Wonderful dimension everywhere too! I want to come and play in your scrap pile LOL!
ReplyDeleteDid you hear Roberto made it to the final two! He has such big puppy dog eyes when he looks at her. Not sure who I want her to chose...will be interesting to see what happens, especially since Frank was her hands down favorite and he has bailed out!
Hey there Shelley!
ReplyDeleteThis is a BEAUTIFUL card! Don't ya love it when you can use up scraps just as they come out of your box!!! I might have to play along with that one too - I've never seen it before!
