Kristina's Color Inspiration #45

I stayed up too late last night working on this card. I'm now paying the price. I feel just awful. I'm really a night owl who has been forced to be a morning person in order to get the her kids off to school. So, 5 1/2 hours of sleep doesn't cut it.

This is my entry to this week's Color Inspiration. I had several ideas to go with, but in the end I went with the circle card because that in itself creates a lot of visual impact. The only stamping on this card are the small Black dots along the edge. I didn't have a flower stamp as small as I would have liked, so I used the head of an eraser. The rest is rub-ons from last year's Sale-A-Bration. I want to use a 1/2" to 5/8" Black or White ribbon across the bottom. Can you believe I had neither? So I compromised and used White Taffeta and Black Gingham layered.

  1. Pretty card! I know the feeling about being the night owl forced to be a morning person, because of getting kids ready for school! That's my life, I'm always tired!:)

  2. Totally with you on the night owl thing -- my 4 month old doesn't understand the concept of sleeping in! I love that you chose to use the scalloped circle -- unique and adorable! -- Denise (Sassy Stampin')

  4. I know that feeling of getting not much sleep and paying for it... LOL! What us paper crafters do to have some quality time to PLAY!! Such a fun card Shelley!! You did improvise to get what you wanted and it looks FABALICIOUS to me! I've used an eraser tip for Xmas tree bulbs in the past... to fun! :)
