Today's Kristina's challenge is for all the lovers of pink and red out there. I do love pink and red. I don't wear the colors too much. They usually don't work for me. However, I decorate with them. My daughters room is pink and I have lots of red throughout my house. I used some bits of scraps because that was part of the challenge, to use lots of different shades. I went with Rose Red, Pretty In Pink, Regal Rose and Pink Passion and Pixie Pink ....wow did I really use that many? The designer papers made it easy. I don't think it would have been so pleasing to use the solid cardstock. I did a lot of paper piercing on this card, too. It doesn't show up so well, but I did pierce around the heart. The stitching I did on my machine and tried not to sew straight. For a veteran seamstress this is not so easy!
Once again, I hope you are enjoying my journey to finish all of the Color Inspiration Challenges. We'll see you again tomorrow!
Fantastic card for Kristina's color challenge! I really like the stitched strips of designer papers with the pretty heart in the center!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME EYE CANDY! I love the stitching and paper piercing. It's a rainbow of pinks and reds... and the saying at the bottom works perfect with your card!! Smiles Shelley... :)
