Hello everyone! I survived the water park. In fact, it was a lot of fun. We got to experience our first water coaster and it was a blast! I'm sure feeling my age, though. After lunch I was so tired! Took a nap under the umbrella and I was done for the rest of the day! The kids had a great time, of course. The bonus for the day was that RAGBRAI (Registers Annual Great Bike Race Across Iowa) was coming through the area and the waterpark parking lot was a stopping point for the riders. This is a BIG deal in Iowa and really across the country. Lance Armstrong rode in it last year??? It's actually something I should add to my "bucket list" because it looks like so much fun!
Until then, how about something a little less labor intensive? How about a Show CASE card?
When free time is in short supply, a card CASE (Copy And Share with Everyone) can be the perfect way to have a little fun!. Show CASE
is my personal attempt to have that time for stamping, without of the pressure to create something totally original. I want to pay tribute to the many talented stampers out in the blogosphere that are so inspiring to me. I hope you enjoy seeing my "take" on their creation.
Today's card came from Julie @ Julie's Stampin' Spot.
My changes:
I had trouble with her rubber band rolled background, so I used DSP.
My fishies are slightly different color.
I used the small heart punch which wasn't available when Julie made hers.
Check out Julie's original card HERE.
See you soon for the Curtain Call!

Had to giggle about your water park adventure LOL! We went about three weeks ago and it is one of my favorite summer traditions. We stayed for 7 hours and I could have stayed till closing (1 more hour). Just love it! Mind you the next day we are dog tired from having to hike up 3 - 7 stories for each ride. Great memories and exercise :)
ReplyDeleteLove the punched fish! Totally darling image and the DP is perfect!
We are done with swimming lessons so the chlorine smell should dissipate a bit LOL! Haven't started my card for Sunday yet either! Hate when I don't have more lead time. All those Verve Challenges took up my time! Hope the mojo isn't waterlogged from the pool LOL!
I'm playing catch-up this morning, Shelley -- and love all of your last 4 posts. I always enjoy seeing your CASEd cards -- and love the fish on this one. I'm usually not one for punched creations, but this fish is too cute. The dp you used is perfect with it. Oh, and I love the cards you made with the stamps you won from Tammy H. Those stamps are adorable -- and perfect for both the black silhouette and the sparkles on your second card.
ReplyDeleteGlad you survived the waterpark. A watercoaster sounds like a blast -- although I may be getting a little old for that kind of intense excitement now (haha). But, I know what you mean about a bathing suit -- I'm flying to CA in a couple of days and my SIL said to pack a swimsuit. Yikes! I had to try mine on to make sure it still is OK. It's probably been close to 5 years...
Nice job! :) Thanks for the shout-out and link!
ReplyDeletewhat a great take on Julies Card!! thanks for the link, have showed the girls and they are keen to give it a go too! :)
