I promised another punch art chick, and although it's getting late for Easter card, I thought I'd better share. You could also make this a baby card, in fact the original was a baby card. This one is a long time in the making.
When free time is in short supply, a card CASE (Copy And Share with
Everyone) can be the perfect way to have a little fun!. Show CASE
is my personal attempt to have that time for stamping, without of
the pressure to create something totally original. I want to pay
tribute to the many talented stampers out in the blogosphere that
are so inspiring to me. I hope you enjoy seeing my "take" on
their creation.
Today's card is by Janelle @ Show and Tell.
I changed the colors from Janelle's original and I added a few more flowers. Please check out Janelle's card. Her husband is keeping her blog up and running. Sadly, Janelle passed away last year with a brain tumor. She was an incredible card maker and a such a positive and friendly lady. I miss her and think of her often.
So, please count your blessings, hug and kiss the ones you love and have a happy Easter!
Hugs,
Shelley

Happy Easter - My First Easter Card!
Happy Easter, everyone! As you may have guessed by my lack of posts, I have not been stamping much. Life is getting busier here and it's been hard to find time in my crafting room. I miss getting in there and goofing off for a few hours. You know what else suffers when I don't stamp regularly? My mojo! It took me quite a while to make today's card for Stacey's Curtain Call Challenge!
Here are the colors. Lovely...and Kraft....this should be easy!
Well, The only things I knew for sure were:
1) I wanted to use some Kraft sent through the crimper.
2) I wanted to use A Good Egg.
Usually with this set I use the chick image. Well, I decided to stretch myself and use the egg image this time. Embellishing my egg became the biggest challenge. I tried everything! Watercolor paper, crackle finish....no matter what I tried it looked BAD! Finally this idea came to me. I inked up the flower stamp with Versamark and topped with clear embossing powder. Then, I masked off sections and sponged on my ink. I can live with this!
To give it a little punch I used TRIPLE zig zag on my machine. I love this stitch, but I've never used it on a card. I like it! I covered up the "not so perfect" corners with my white brads.
I wanted to add the sentiment, "You crack me up!" from the set, but couldn't find a place for it. So, it will have to go inside the card. As my post headline suggested, this is my first Easter card for the year! UGH! Like I said, life's been busy!
So, what about the rest of the Curtain Call Crew? Let's see what they are doing with this color combo!

Lattice Cross - Act 21 SSS
Update - I found the blogger that was the inspiration for this cross. It's Lauri Seago @ A Stampers' Perspective. Her original card is HERE. Check her out!
Wow, this week has been a blur for me! I don't know where the week went but here we are, time for another addition of the Stamping Stage! Stacey has an interesting color combo for us this week, almost monochromatic. I wasn't sure what direction the colors would take me. Initially I thought St. Patrick's Day card, but I don't have any stamps! That's when I turned to my Big Shot dies.
I've had the Lattice Die for a while, but haven't used it much. I remember seeing this cross while blurfing, quite some time ago. Sorry I can't tell you where....I usually keep better track of these things. It's a great idea, though! It could make a great first communion card, too. Geez, the only stamping here is the sentiment from Well Scripted! Can't get much more simple, huh?
So, now that you've seen my offering. Check out the other gals, too.

Spinner Card
Happy Friday! Hope you've had a good week. I have completely goofed off all week. I stayed home all but Tuesday. I did have to do some hateful jobs, like laundry along the way. However, I still found plenty of time to play!
Last year before Easter I had planned on doing some kind of moving card with the A Good Egg. Every idea I came up with had some sort of obstacle. I never came up with a really good solution, so it didn't get done. I started thinking about it again over the past few days and came up with a spinner card. Now if only the story ended there. Have you ever started a card and then in mid-way through changed your mind? Or right after you finish an element of the card you have a better idea? Or maybe even smudge your ink? That kept happening with me and this card. I started again and again. At some point you just get tired of it and say "That's it. It is DONE!" That's where I am at with this one. You want to know the worst part? It doesn't spin!!! I could not just leave well enough alone. The area under the slider was the striped patterned paper and I didn't like that. So, I put a piece of Certainly Celery underneath. The bottom line? The cardstock adds too much thickness and it's too tight to spin. Big sigh!
So, keep that in mind if you would like to try this out! I will make another......I just need a few days to "recover" from my goof!
Have a great day!
